Gay Enabled Tours: enabling wheelchair travel in Asia
Gay Enabled Tours (GET) was created to provide personalized travel adventures for gay men who are confined to wheel-chairs or with limited mobility who still have the spirit of adventure. GET is designed to take its guests almost anywhere no matter how challenging the itinerary may be.
Our first enabled travel adventures will be within Thailand and when requested incorporate selected cruise segments from the port of Bangkok. GET looks forward to challenging requests to travel to any major destination.
As you look at itinerary options in Thailand, destinations such as Phuket and other resort centers can be arranged. What we have highlighted are some of the most popular in- and near-Bangkok experiences.
We work with caring attendants/travel companions/escorts from Asia and around the world. . . . . .providing personalized travel services heretofore unavailable to many gay handicapped travelers. Our companions are selected based on travel experience, English-speaking ability, physical strength and availability and have been trained to provide the support and expertise necessary to guarantee as care-free a travel adventure as possible.
At this time Gay Enabled Tours (GET) is not equipped nor staffed to handle the more medically challenged travelers who require dialysis, oxygen therapy and other closely supervised medical conditions. It is hoped that GET will be able to offer such additional services with licensed nursing personnel in the future.
How it works...
1) Choose an Itinerary from the Tour page or by designing your own with our helpful staff.
2) Airport transfer. Book your own flights and we will arrange airport transfers.
3) Enjoy the sights your destination has to offer with your attendant(s).
4) At your hotel, your attendant(s) will be with you, in the same or separate room according to your needs.
